An eclectic look into the festival featuring a few of Blake Russell's newest and oldest friends. Tea and biscuits will be served alongside new plays from John Fisher and Benjamin Ponce, dance from Darling Shear, the new hit webseries "Kam Kardashian" from Fawzia Mizra and Ryan Logan, developing work from Sojourner Wright and OR/G/N, an improvised two person show from Harrison George and Emily Anderson, and a story from "Hit The Wall" writer Ike Holter. BYOB, too!
The Burlesque Butcher (Anna Friedman) and her assistant (McKenzie Gilliam) are serving up a classy and sexy evening. Appetizers, desserts, and a freshly carved ham will accompany music from Dylan Wright, seductive dance from McKenzie Gilliam, and sleight of hand magic from the one and only Tricky Ol' Puss. Our vintage record player will spin classic lounge music between performances and dialogue. There is a small selection of wine, so feel free to BYOB.

The evening is hosted at the home of the British Consulate in Chicago and features Cathy Nathan's new musical, Canon, sharing its lively songs and scenes alongside the host's own short film "Death does not end a relationship" and a screening of Louder Than A Bomb's hit documentary.
The artistic director of Home Gallery, Laura Shaeffer, hosts the short film "Queen of My Dreams" by Fawzia Mizra and Ryan Logan, with musicians Amy Geist and Chris Yearwood, Noah Ginex Puppet Company, a performance piece from Irene Marquette, and storytelling from Judith Heineman and writer/performer Coya Paz. This is a family friendly show!
Sixty Inches from Center documentarian Tempestt Hazel shares her home with Liana Percoco's short film kitchen installation, Supermarket Sweep!, and a variety of storytellers: Quinten Quintero from The Island Theater Company, Scot West's romantic autopsy show set to Prince's "Purple Rain", and the Noah Ginex Puppet Company.
Studio artists Regin Igloria and Moki Tantoco host at their home and studio, the North Branch Projects. This evening features Erin Lane's autobiographical show "Thank You Future", short works from Synapse Arts/Rachel Damon, Sojourner Wright, and The Laboratory Dancers, a new play from Benjamin Ponce, a few episodes from the Kam Kardashian webseries, and a queer 'exquisite corpse' from Alex Paul Young and other writers.
Hosted at The Lesbian Lounge, featuring performances from Christopher Knowlton as Robyn and Erin Lane's autobiographical "Thank You Future", lisafrankequus by Alex Paul Young, Amir George's new works of cinema, an improvised comedy show from Harrison George and Emily Anderson, and the new works "Dressism" from Sojourner Wright and "We Didn't Start The Fire" from Irene Marquette.
Educator and performance artist Abbéy Odunlami hosts an evening of art and conversation with Chad Sainson, solo performances by Tien Tran and Caila Lipovsky, and short films directed by Jessica Marks of The Good Night Ladies, the Kam Kardashian webseries by Ryan Logan and Fawzia Mizra, and Liana Percoco's video installation, "Supermarket Sweep!"
Director Lindsay Hopkins serves up an evening of vegan food and performance with her current work, Food and the Soul, alongside Kellen Walker's food project "Iva Hart." Also featuring "InToMeSee: Fear and Fascination" from Dominique Lovie Boyd, and new works such as John Fisher's living room play "Harmless", sketch comedy from Abby Vatterott and Caila Lipovsky's one-woman show. We'll also screen "Queen of My Dreams" from Ryan Logan and Fawzia Mizra.
Sculptor and curator Faheem Majeed & Lashana Jackson host from their beautiful south side home. Guest and performers include singer/songwriter Jess Godwin, intimate duets from Synapse Arts/Rachel Damon, experimental musicians Sam Hertz and Matt Orenstein, the short film "Queen of My Dreams" from Fawzia Mizra and Ryan Logan, solo performances from Irene Marquette, Wes Perry and David Lakein, and a performance lecture from Anthony Romero.
Activist and educator Laura Ramírez rounds out the end of the festival with "Burnt Organes" by Dr. Silvia Malagrino, Amir George's new works of cinema, the Kam Kardashian webseries with Ryan Logan and Fawzia Mizra, a new play from John Fisher, singer/songwriter Jess Godwin and a sound-installation from Uproar Chicago.
This final evening features encore performances and media from each of the previous neighborhoods. Our host Lisa Yun Lee, director of the School of Art and Art History at UIC, curates food and beverage pairings inspired by each neighborhood. Director Laley Lippard facilitates a closing night ritual celebrating the home and the community.
